Creating Simple Presentations
A presentation is a way to visually present media in a group. Presentations allow the user to edit and show a sequence of images in a group. A presentation can be as simple as a series of “slides” shown at maximum screen size, or as complex as customized images displayed side-by-side for comparisons, with links to external web sources or even annotations.
After login in to Insight 5.1, the screen should be similar to the one below:

1) First, open the desired collection. Refer to the How to Login to Insight guide if you are having trouble opening a collection.
2) Once the collection is open, select the file option on the left and then click on the open group option to select the desired group. Presentations can only be made out of groups (refer to the Creating Groups guide for help creating groups). The screen should be similar to the one below:

3) From this screen, select the group option and then select the create presentation option. A new window titled Image Workspace will open which will look similar to the one below:

For simple presentations, many of the tools on this screen can simply be ignored (see the Advanced Presentation Features guide for information on these tools).
4) To save the presentation, click the save and close button circled above. The screen should be similar to the one below:

5) Name the presentation and click on the Save button. Once this is done, the Image Workspace window may be closed by clicking on the X on the top right of the Image Workspace window.
6) The group must
now be saved. From the Group Workspace window, select the file option and then the save group option to save changes to
the group (refer to image below).
Note: If the group is not saved, the presentation will be lost as it will not be saved with the group. Please remember to save the group after saving the presentation to avoid data loss.

How to play and
view a presentation:
Before a presentation can be played, it’s group must first be open.
1) From the file menu, click on the open group option and select desired group.
2) Once the group is open, click on the presentation and select play presentation from the group menu.
Note: If the presentation is not visible from the group window, click on the circled button (shown on the image below) to see the presentations saved on the group. Then proceed with Step 2 above.

3) Once the play presentation option has been selected, the image workshop window should appear and the screen should look similar to the image below:

4) Use the right arrow key on the keyboard to start the presentation and to advance to the next slide. Use the left arrow key to return to the previous slide.
5) To end the presentation, simply click on the X on the top right of the Image Workspace window.
This concludes the guide to creating simple presentations using Insight 5.1. For tips on creating more advanced presentations, please refer to the Advanced Presentation Features guide.
