All we now have is one blank web page. The next step is to use the FrontPage Editor to add text, links, and images to that page.
To get into the FrontPage Editor from the Explorer:

All web pages end with htm or html. Index.htm (or index.html) is the first file in a given directory that a browser, such as Netscape, will open. For instance, if someone looks at Academic Computing's web space (www.trincoll.edu/~acad/) and does not specify a particular page name, the browser will look for www.trincoll.edu/~acad/index.html. |
You're now looking at the main page for the FrontPage Editor:

A useful place to start is by giving your web page a Title. The title is what viewers see at the very top of their screens when they pull up your page. The title of this page, for instance, is "FrontPage Editor." The title is also what the Explorer shows you when you're looking at an overview of your web.
To give your page a title:
Adding text to your page is as simple as putting the cursor at the beginning of the page and beginning to type. Stop for a moment and try putting a few lines of text on your new page.
When you're done, save your work by selecting File/Save from the Menu bar.
