Kristopher Arenius - Systems Manager for Administrative Systems LITC C08 297-2570 Kristopher.Arenius@Trincoll.edu As Systems Manager, Kris nurtures the servers which support administrative applications such as PeopleSoft, DocsOpen, and Cognos. Kris is also involved in the maintenance and day-to-day management of numerous software applications.  Kris has been working at Trinity College since 1998. Anne S. Bunting - Application Specialist LITC B32 297-2097 Anne.Bunting@Trincoll.edu Anne provides IT support for the Human Resources and Payroll Offices. She joined the Trinity Staff as a Computer Operator in 1980 working in the Business Office. In 1986, Anne moved to the Computing Center as a Specialist supporting the Business Office, later supporting the Registrar's Office, and finally to her current position. Emmanuel Chang – Manager of Student Computing & the Help Desk LITC B25 297-2264 Emmanuel.Chang@Trincoll.edu Emmanuel is responsible for the day-to-day management of the students who work at the helpdesk. He also deals with all aspects of student computing on campus, from dorm network problems to providing training to specific groups of students on campus. Emmanuel entered Trinity as a student in 1994, graduated in 1998 and began working at the Computing Center very shortly thereafter. David Chappell - Application Development Programmer LITC B35 297-2114 David.Chappell@Trincoll.edu David plays a primary role in providing network infrastructure services such as name service, web caching, e-mail delivery, printing, and file serving. His areas of expertise are network protocols, Unix and Linux, interoperation with MS-Windows, and cross-platform printing with PostScript. Michael Cook - Director of Administrative Data Systems LITC B36 297-2573 Michael.Cook@Trincoll.edu Mike has been a member of the Computing Center since 1989. Most of that time has been spent supporting the college's administrative applications and offices. Recently, he has filled various roles in Trinity's ongoing campus-wide PeopleSoft implementation. Prior to Trinity, Mike was employed in a company specializing in software systems for small manufacturing firms. Francine Cosker - Associate Director of Distributed Computing LITC A24 297-2104 Francine.Cosker@Trincoll.edu Francine is responsible for Distributed Computing, which manages support for Trinity's desktop computers. She is also involved with the Help Desk phone support as well as Student Computing. Since 1981 Francine has experienced many transitions on campus, and looks forward to the ongoing development of computing at Trinity. Jerry Dezolt - Computer Operations Technician LITC A02 297-2101 Jerry.Dezolt@Trincoll.edu As a technician, Jerry’s primary responsibilities are associated with printing, installing new servers, and support of the Business Office. Jerry made Trinity his second home in May 1992 and is still hanging out. John J. Dlugosz - Media Technology Service Specialist LITC 126 297-2422 John.Dlugosz@Trincoll.edu John, a one-time free-form radio All Star and music industry executive, has been a utility man for Media Tech Services, assuming a variety of rolls: classroom technology installation and maintenance, special event services management, digital video and audio recording and editing, managing the department’s inventory and database, and training and direction of the department’s student technicians. John is also a system administrator for the Blackboard Learning System. Philip Duffy - Director of Media Technology Services LITC 131 297-2423 Philip.Duffy@Trincoll.edu As director of MTS, Phil is responsible for coordinating in-class A-V technology and special event servicing. Phil entered Trinity in 1980 as a student, and essentially has never left.  Recently, Phil has taken on some of the responsibility for coordinating the external and internal communications for the Computing Center when crises occur. Phil is an integral member of the group of people responsible for classroom renovations. Brian Eathorne – Network and Communications Technician LITC A02 297-5333 Brian.Eathorne@Trincoll.edu With his recent move to the Network Services Department, Brian focuses on LAN and WAN network maintenance and problems. He particularly enjoys upgrading faculty lab machines, and dreams of the day that his job will resemble that of the Maytag repairman. Donna Fitch - Assistant Director of Administrative Services LITC B30 297-5165 Donna.Fitch@Trincoll.edu Donna is responsible for coordinating and supporting IT applications and services for administrative offices. Donna joined the college in 2000 as an Applications Specialist with primary responsibility for supporting student records applications in the PeopleSoft enterprise system. Jason Gormley – Applications Programmer Analyst LITC B22 297-5366 Jason.Gormley@Trincoll.edu Jason's job primarily entails the development and maintenance of programs with relation to managing data in various Administrative Systems. Jason works with Peoplesoft, SQL Server, Visual Studio, Cognos, Optim, and various other tools as the task requires. Jean-Pierre Haeberly – Director of Academic Computing LITC A26 297-2475 JeanPierre.Haeberly@Trincoll.edu As head of the web and applications development group, Jean-Pierre is responsible for the design and implementation of online services in support of the college's academic and administrative requirements. Prior to joining Trinity in 2000, Jean-Pierre spent many years as a faculty member at the University of Washington and Fordham University. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Chicago and an M.S. in Computer Science from New York University. Jeff Hammond – Distributed Computing Specialist LITC A2 297-2277 Jeffrey.Hammond@Trincoll.edu Jeff is the designated Apple specialist. He spends most of his time working with faculty who utilize MACs and repairing them as needed. He also assists with the maintenance of public labs. Jeff has been at Trinity since 2001. Craig Jirowetz - Software Applications Developer LITC B19 297-4112 Craig.Jirowetz@Trincoll.edu Craig is responsible for creating custom Microsoft-based software programs for various Trinity College departments. These programs are developed using numerous programming languages and database tools such as C#.Net, VB.Net, VBA, JavaScript, XML, HTML and SQL. As a central member of Trinity’s core programming team, he is active in all areas of the software development process. Liz Johnson – Business Affairs Manager LITC B24 297-4259 Liz.Johnson@Trincoll.edu Hired in 1986, Liz started her Trinity career in the Development Office followed by many years in Campus Safety. Liz came to the Computing Center in 1997 and is currently the Business Affairs Manager where she takes care of financial and some operational issues for the department. She has been a member of the Computing Center since 1995. John Langeland – Director of Information Technology LITC 161 297-2525 John.Langeland@Trincoll.edu As Director of Information Technology, John is responsible for all aspects of information technology services at Trinity; he came to Trinity in 1986. In addition to his IT role, John has taught in the Political Science Department (Empirical Political Methods and Data Analysis); he has also been involved in Trinity’s “Smart Neighborhood” efforts (including the creation of the Trinfo.Cafe), and is a member of the committee that evaluates Trinity’s urban academic programs and projects. Jason has worked at the Computing Center since he began as an undergraduate in 1996. Ralford McLean – Systems Manager LITC C7 297-4149 RMcLean@Trincoll.edu Ralford is responsible for maintaining many of the college’s application servers, including those used for e-mail, filesharing and Blackboard.  He ensures interoperability between the servers and the applications housed on them. Currently, she handles day-to-day operations at the Help Desk. Patrick Moran – Application Specialist LITC B33 297-2223 Patrick.Moran@Trincoll.edu Pat is new to Trinity College, joining IT in June 2004. He works in Administrative Services as an Applications Specialist supporting applications and services for various administrative offices.  Previously, Pat was an independent consultant in a wide range of technologies from legacy mainframe systems to modern Web technologies. Prior to joining Trinity in 2003, Sarah worked as a data management consultant. Kent Patashnick – Software Applications Developer LITC B20 297-2135 Kent.Patashnick@Trincoll.edu With proficiency in several programming languages and development environments including .NET, C#, Java, and Visual Basic, Kent focuses on the design and construction of customized applications.  He became a member of the staff in 2004, and has spent much of his time working on TAS and the portal. Ronald Perkins – Media Technology Services Technician & Office Manager LITC B135 297-2422 Ronald.Perkins@Trincoll.edu Ron assists with the service and installation of classroom technology, and special event servicing. He helps maintain the department’s inventory and manages much of the department’s administrative functions. Ron came to Trinity after spending time at an A-V rental house and has been at Trinity since late 2003. Luca Pizzoferrato - Field Service Technician LITC C12 297-2106 Luca.Pizzoferrato@Trincoll.edu As Network Administrator, Luca is responsible for thre network topology at Trinity, which includes routers, switches, VPN and dial-up.  Luca started at Trinity College in 1995 in the mailroom, moved on to Audio Visual, then to Distributed Computing before obtaining his current position. In addition, Luca oversees printing and the Optim System (Id Card System) at Trinity College. Peter Sobering – Director of Information Systems LITC B29 297-2108 Peter.Sobering@Trincoll.edu Peter Sobering has held a variety of positions over the course of his 20+ years at Trinity. His beginnings date back to the days when computing happened in Hallden Labs, or it didn't happen at all, and anyone who did it, did it on PDP-11's, VAX computers and mainframe links to Yale. Peter has held a variety of position in Academic and Administrative Computing and is currently the Director of Information Systems. Pete is also responsible for the management of all Public Labs. David Tatem – Academic Resource Specialist LITC A25 297-2124 David.Tatem@Trincoll.edu Dave has been in Academic Computing at Trinity since the summer of 1999. He is the primary contact person for faculty members in the Social Sciences (including History). Dave is the support person for statistical software such as SPSS and STATA and also supports the use of GIS. Most of his time is spent with faculty in the Humanities, including those who work in foreign languages. Tito Victoriano – Webmaster LITC B23 297-2515 Tito.Victoriano@Trincoll.edu Tito is responsible for the management and development of Trinity’s main public web site which supports a number of priority initiatives including marketing and communication. Tito has many years of experience in a digital production environment with emphasis on delivery via the WWW, expertise as a visual designer, fluency in Html, Microsoft Content Management and .NET technology. Her responsibilities include designing and planning the College's data warehouse and recommending and implementing reporting solutions for administrative departments. Trish has worked for Trinity since 1992. He is the liaison to the sciences and math departments.  Mike is a resource for GIS and also supports the computing needs of the Athletic Department.
