About Our Culture

At Gap Inc., people are encouraged to make a difference. A difference in their jobs, to the business, and in their communities. We have a diverse group of employees who have a lot of responsibility at early stages in their careers. We give our employees the tools they need to try new things and run with their Ideas. And we need those ideas in every part of our business.

Before a pair of jeans reaches our stores, they will have touched over 20 different places in what we call The Product Lifecycle. We need high quality people at each point of that cycle -- from design to distribution. So what kind people are right for the Gap? People who take balanced risks, who take ownership in what they do, and people with creative minds and big ideas to ensure that our brands continue to have a point of view. The retail business demands creativity and innovation, and our work environment allows for it.

Gap Inc., is a company that strives for integrity in everything we do - from the thread we stitch on our jeans, to our involvement In the community. We operate our business with maximum efficiency in mind and act responsibly, both on the job and in the communities where we do business. We have been recognized for our leadership in areas such as the fight against HIV/AIDS, our volunteer and community service work, and for our support and interest in environmental affairs. Our commitment to the things that are important to us make our employees proud to work here.
