  Cable Television on Campus
As originally conceived, Trinity College Television (TCTV) was intended to be used as an educational tool and to provide a form of entertainment for students. Starting in the Fall 2001 semester, Comcast supplies Expanded Basic cable television service for the Trinity College Campus. Media Technology Services will provide several foreign language and locally produced channels (81-90). These supplement the language curricula of the Modern Languages Department and enhance the cultural aspect of classes in many different fields of study.

In lieu of spending class time on the viewing of a video, it is possible to show a tape on channel 81. Screening rights prevent the airing of some videos. Contact the Music and Media Services Department with questions. TCTV is available in dorm rooms and in many classrooms, as well as in viewing sites in the library, and in some student lounges.

Cable Television Service Problems
(new procedure as of Fall 2005)

All Cable Television service issues must be directed to Comcast by dialing 1-888-Comcast. Trinity College does not service cable issues in any space on campus. Trinity College allows Comcast to service campus issues Monday-Friday between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm only. All Comcast service technicians will be first dispatched to Campus Safety (76 Vernon Street). If a student calls for a service visit and then is not reachable by Campus Safety, they will have to reschedule a service visit via 1-888-Comcast.
