I am currently at SUNY Stony Brook Medical school, about a month in. As of right now I am still loving med school, although we are about to start in on the head and neck which I hear is where the separation between the boys and the men is very evident. Biochemistry is going well. The strong organic background makes memorizing the TCA cycle just a series of enolate and hydrolysis reactions. Also, on a side note, for students going into chemistry, either natural product synthesis or med chem I would highly suggest taking a biochem course. It really helps once in a grad school or in industry being able to relate the med chem with the workings of the body. Anyways, thats my story, and i have got to get back to memorizing entirely too much.
