Mailings from Trinity Habitat and OCM

You likely have already received mailings from the Trinity Chapter of Habitat for Humanity and On Campus Marketing (OCM).  These mailings are solicitations for two fundraising programs (Residence Hall Linens Program and the Collegiate Welcome Program), which Trinity Habitat and OCM run together. The proceeds that Trinity Habitat receives from these fundraisers go to support the work of building simple, decent housing for and with Hartford area residents in need.

Through these and other fundraisers, since 2003-2004, Trinity Habitat has raised over $95,000 with which it has co-sponsored six houses/housing developments of Hartford Area of Habitat for Humanity.  This past academic year, were very excited to be a part of a house on Grand Street, located in Trinity’s neighborhood of Frog Hollow.  This was also the first house that Hartford Habitat had constructed in Frog Hollow.  Trinity Habitat raised $9,000 for the house and volunteered on the house’s construction over the past year. And this past June, Trinity Habitat had the privilege to be part of a house dedication on Grand Street in Trinity’s neighborhood of Frog Hollow and present the house keys to the new homeowners.

You are under no obligation to support any of these fundraisers.  We simply want to let you know that these extra-institutional will arrive in the mail so that you will not be concerned that an outside company has obtained your address.  If you receive solicitations from companies other than OCM, please know that they are not affiliated with Trinity College.  It is not Trinity’s policy to provide the name and contact information of its student to third parties who do not have a relationship with the College.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Joe Barber, director of community service and civic engagement, at or (860) 297-4256.
