Included and integrated into the semester programs are academic excursions that expose students to Italy's treasures under the guidance of art history professors. The excursions also incorporate elements that enrich the courses in literature, history, and political science.
Each semester includes one excursion for the entire group (fall students go to Naples/Pompeii/Capri; Spring students go to venice). In addition, there will be two long weekend held for additional course-related academic excursions (if enrolled in those courses that require such excursions) or free to travel on one's own.
The faculty-led weekend excursion to Naples/Pompeii/Capri includes visits to the Archeological Museum, Archeological sites, Villa Jovis, and the Natural Arch.
The faculty-led weekend excursion to Venice includes visits to St. Mark’s Basilica, Accademia, Santa Maria della Salute, Santa Maria dei Frari, Scuola di San Rocco, San Giorgio.
Trinity College reserves the right to change the number and itineraries of the academic excursions as circumstances warrant.
