On-Site Director and Core Course Professor, Águeda Quiroga
Águeda Quiroga has more than seven years of management experience coordinating academic programs and projects. A native of Argentina, she has firsthand experience studying and living in a new country. She received her Bachelor's degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Buenos Aires and her Master's Degree in Social and Publics Policies from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra-Johns Hopkins University. She is currently completing her Doctoral studies in Political and Social Sciences from Universitat Pompeu Fabra. She is fluent in Spanish, Catalan, and English.
Program Coordinator, Sabrina Voss
Sabrina Voss is the Onsite Coordinator for student services at Trinity in Barcelona. She manages the day-to-day running of the space and assists students in the more practical aspects of life in Barcelona, including homestay arrangements, medical care, transport, and communication, in addition to organizing cultural activities and excursions both in Barcelona and the rest of Spain. Sabrina has studied abroad in 4 different European countries and has been living in Barcelona since 2002. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada and has worked as a visual artist, teacher, and translator for many years. She is fluent in Spanish, Catalan, and English.
Spanish Professor, Ana Zaragoza
Ana Zaragoza holds a BA in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Barcelona. She is a professor of Spanish as a second language and specializes in teaching Spanish for the business environment. She has also dedicated two years of her career to teaching Spanish to immigrant women in Barcelona through the non-profit organization Akuawa. In addition to her work in the classroom, Ana has co-authored En Equipo.es, a 3-level Spanish-as-a-second-language textbook series.
Visual Barcelona Professor, Lourdes Segade
Lourdes Segade has degrees in communications and reporting. She is a contributor for The New York Times and International Herald Tribune. Her photos have been published in The Chicago Tribune, Newsweek, Le Monde, Magazine La Vanguardia, and other magazines and journals. She has exhibited her work all over the world and was commissioned to take part in the book This Day Of Change 1/20 and in the project 24 Hours in Europe. She is a member of Picturetank and a co-founder of EVE photographers and she has won numerous awards for her work. She teaches photography at beginning and advanced
levels for interested students.
