On-Site Director, Águeda Quiroga
Águeda Quiroga has more than seven years of management experience coordinating academic programs and projects. A native of Argentina, she has firsthand experience studying and living in a new country. She received her Bachelor's degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Buenos Aires and her Master's Degree in Social and Publics Policies from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra-Johns Hopkins University. She is currently completing her Doctoral studies in Political and Social Sciences from Universitat Pompeu Fabra. She is fluent in Spanish, Catalan, and English.
Faculty Director, Thomas Harrington
Professor Thomas Harrington is associate professor of Hispanic Studies at Trinity College in Hartford. In addition to coordinating and co-teaching the Trinity in Barcelona core course, he teaches courses on 20th and 21st century Spanish cultural history, literature and film at trinity in Hartford. His areas of research expertise include modern Iberian nationalist movements, contemporary Catalonia, the history of migration between the peninsular "periphery" (Catalonia, Galicia, Portugal and the Basque country) and the the societies of the Caribbean and the Southern Cone. He is fluent in English, Spanish and Catalan.
Program Consulant, Jo Milne
Professor Milne leads the excursion to Madrid and lectures about the arts in Barcelona. She also is available to do an independent study in painting or drawing with interested students. Educated and trained at Edinburgh University, Edinburgh College of Art, and the Camberwell College of Art at the London Institute, Jo Milne is an accomplished artist and educator who has lived and worked in Barcelona for many years.
