Sports + Culture

Students are encouraged to make the most of their time in Barcelona by taking advantage of the multitude of options for immersion into the culture. The Trinity staff are more than happy to help students in this pursuit to compliment what is already offered through the program.

The Trinity in Barcelona program  has externship opportunities available to students interested in getting hands-on professional experience while studying abroad in Spain. Please see the Externships page for more information.

Volunteer Opportunities

Motivated students are encouraged to consider volunteering in some capacity to gain a more in depth perspective on the country and the culture.  There are many opportunities available and the Trinity staff can assist students in finding something they are interested in.

Joining a gym or sports team not only keeps you fit but it is also a great way to meet  Spaniards with a similar interest.
Barcelona has a lot of activities to offer, including kite surfing, beach volleyball, mountain sports, biking, and horseback riding, to name a few. Students can take advantage of a wide range of sporting activities at the university.

Health and Well-Being

Feeling well while studying abroad can be a challenge. We have a range of services aimed at helping students to feel better both physically and mentally during their time in Barcelona. Students can access an extensive network of health services through HTH insurance, including English-speaking professionals. Our personal trainer Bernardo provides open-air workouts exclusively in Spanish in many beautiful parks in the city, while our therapist Esther Tapiz, who specializes in study abroad issues, works closely with students on emotional and cultural adjustment. On site staff can also help students to find other sports activities and services in the city to suit their needs and help them feel their best.
