The Office of International Programs (OIP), located at 66 Vernon Street, assists Trinity students who wish to study away for a semester, academic year, or summer. Students who wish to study away must submit a Request to Study Away online by the appropriate deadline for the term they are interested in. Click on the "Submit a Request to Study Away" link on the left to see upcoming deadlines.
fall semester, the OIP will hold a study-away fair that features approved study away options for semester, full-year, and summer. In addition, the OIP will hold a series of study-away information sessions that all students interested in studying away should attend. Students are encouraged to make an appointment with an OIP study-away adviser.
After submitting a Request to Study Away, students will receive approval notices after the winter break for one or more approved programs and for one study-away term. Students must meet with their OIP adviser to discuss their plans and application process. Students will then apply to their programs, working with the OIP adviser. For students studying on non-Trinity programs, they will work closely with their program providers. All students will attend a mandatory study-away pre-departure Orientation prior to studying away and will receive important pre-departure information from the OIP and their programs.
Students applying for summer study away must meet with the OIP summer program adviser and obtain OIP approval before proceeding; the approval process is rolling based upon the deadline of the program.
