Being prepared for your semester or year away goes a long way in helping to ensure as smooth a transition as possible. There are a lot of things to consider, such as how will you access money, will you get credit for all your courses, what should you pack, and how will you communicate with friends and family while away, to name just a few. There are also things that you can and should do to avoid putting yourself in dangerous situations while studying away.
Regardless of what study away program you are going on, you will be receiving information specific to that location and program during a program-specific orientation. Trinity College requires that you participate in your program's orientation, read all materials provided to you by your program, and take preparing to have a successful experience studying away seriously.
