Killarney Provincial Park
                                                               August 9-24, 2008

 

 

The extended wilderness experience in Ontario, Canada takes students into one of the most pristine parks in North America.

Participants will portage and canoe across sparkling lakes, backpack through incredible wetlands, softwood and hardood forests, and mountainous regions, and spend a day climbing and rappelling over granite ledges. An overnight monitored solo period will allow for personal reflection in the wilderness. 

A passport (and visa for international students) is required for this program.

 

Cost: $1350

Dates: 8/9 - 8/24

Facts

+  Some of Killarney's sapphire lakes have up to 90-foot-deep visibility.

+  Killarney is located off of Lake Huron's Georgian Bay, about a 13 hour bus ride from Trinity.

+  The La Cloche mountain range was taller than the Rocky Mountains, and consists mainly of white quartize.
