Pay careful attention to the deadline dates and requirements detailed below.  If you miss a deadline or your Interfolio file is incomplete, the HPAC will not be able to prepare a Committee Letter for you.

January 22, 2009

  • Attend the REQUIRED meeting for students considering or applying for fall 2010 or 2011 entrance to a health professions program.

The Health Professions Advisory Committee (HPAC) will present information on the materials you need to submit for your HPAC file by March 27, 2009.

February 20, 2009

 

DEADLINE for establishing your HPAC Interfolio Account.

·         Current Students and Alumni/ae must establish an Interfolio account directly (http://www.interfolio.com/cgi-bin/signup.cfm) to which all required materials are submitted.

·         Obtain the HPAC promotional code at the January 22 meeting or by contacting kathy.mallinson@trincoll.edu.

Attend choosing a health profesional school informational meeting - 7pm in Science Commons

All material must be in your Interfolio account by the above date.

  • Letters of Recommendation

         Letters of recommendation request forms are available through Interfolio.  To request a letter of recommendation, log in to your Interfolio account, click on the FAQ (located on the right hand of the side of the page) for instructions.

    • Two letters MUST be from Trinity SCIENCE faculty.
    • One letter MUST be from a NON-SCIENCE faculty.
    • IMPORTANT:  It is your responsibility to check the status and content of your Interfolio account and to remind writers of your deadline.  Writers must send recommendations directly to Interfolio.
  • OFFICIAL transcript from the Registrar’s Office to be sent directly to Interfolio.  Click here to request an Official Transcript: www.trincoll.edu/academics/registrar/transcriptrequest.htm
  • Personal Statement
    • Attend the Writing Center Workshop (date TBA) on how to prepare your Personal Statement. You must bring a first draft of your statement to the session.
    • When complete submit your personal statement to your Interfolio account.
  • Autobiographical Profile

·         Download two copies of the Health Professions Advisory Committee Letter of Evaluation form, sign and deliver to Kathy Mallinson (Clement 107, Science Commons).

    • The form can be found here:  www.trincoll.edu/depts/career/hpac/hpac_committee_letterhead.pdf
    • On both copies of the form, indicate whether you wish the Committee Letter to be Confidential or Non-Confidential by signing your name and writing the date in the appropriate box.
    • Leave the "Name, Class Year and Professional School or Program" lines blank.  Kathy Mallinson will type that information in the blanks.
    • Return the signed and dated forms to Kathy Mallinson.  These are the ONLY hard copy materials you will submit.    

April 3, 2009

  • Submit official request for a Letter of Evaluation to Professor William Church (william.church@trincoll.edu)  
  • Have interviews with Professor Church and member of HPAC scheduled.  Contact Kathy Mallinson for HPAC faculty interview.

If you Interfolio file is incomplete, the HPAC will not prepare a Committee Letter for you.

 

Monitor the status of your online Interfolio file.  It is your responsibility to insure that all materials are submitted.  Check often and carefully before the March 27, 2009 deadline.

 

Your HPAC file will be complete when you have submitted all materials to your Interfolio account by March 27, 2009 AND completed your interview with a member of HPAC by May 4, 2009. 

 

April 30, 2009

Attend AMCAS informational meeting - 7pm in Science Commons

 

May 4, 2009 

  • Final date to be interviewed by a HPAC Member.

JUNE 2009

 AUGUST/SEPTEMBER 2009

  • Submit all secondary applications by the end of the month.
    • Letters of Recommendation are sent to schools that have invited you to submit a secondary application.  To do this, submit your recommendation requests to Interfolio ASAP 
  • Prepare for interviews.
