Mather 2007 Renovation

During the summer of 2007, the dining hall and bookstore located in Mather Hall were renovated to improve both aesthetics as well as functionality.

The Trinity College Bookstore, as run by Barnes and Noble, has been temporarily located in the Gallows Hill center. It will reopen in Mather Hall for the opening of school 2008 with a new floor plan. Gallows Hill has been returned to its function as a student meeting space.

The Mather dining room reopened in September 2007. (additional information below)

More on the Mather dining room and campus dining options:

Chartwells, which operates the dining facilities on campus, worked with an advisory group of students, staff and faculty during the 2006-07 year to finalize plans for Mather dining hall that features renovation of both the seating and kitchen areas. The dining room features a new concept in college dining that is based upon student input about choices for seating and food options. The new kitchen as well as dining areas were not only modernized but the spaces were reconfigured to promote small group conversation and additional “cook to order” stations in addition to existing options for students who are Kosher, vegetarians, vegans, or who enjoy the salad bar and stations for dessert, soup, pizza, baked potato, grill, deli, entrée, carving and beyond.

Shown below are photographs of the renovated hall.
