Puck Drops on First Official Games!
Friday, November 17, 2006, will go down in history as the day that the first official NCAA Division III games were played at the Koeppel Community Sports Center. Although the outcomes of the games were not what Trinity would have liked, the women lost to Wesleyan and the men lost to Hamilton, playing at home - really at home - was terrific.
The official ribbon cutting will not be until after the New Year, but the day was festive nonetheless with many former players and members of the community present. The family of Albert C. Williams '64, for whom the ice rink within the facility is named, were on hand. Hope Williams '87 dropped the puck for the women and Ben Williams '58 did the honors for the men.
