The Zachs Hillel House is a home-away-from-home where students can relax, study, enjoy a kosher meal, and spend time with other students in a comfortable and welcoming environment.
The striking 8,000 square-foot structure, located on Vernon Street, was completed in December 2001. The building is named for Henry Zachs ’56, a former trustee and a generous supporter of Jewish and multicultural life at Trinity. Today, the Zachs Hillel House serves as a vibrant center for celebrating the social, cultural and spiritual richness of Jewish life at Trinity.
Hillel is the largest Jewish campus organization in the world, and it has had a presence at Trinity for more than 50 years. Hillel offers Jewish students, faculty and staff an opportunity to create a Jewish community on campus.
