The Mindfulness Project comprises students, faculty, and staff who wish to teach and explore the religious traditions, spiritual disciplines, philosophies, and body practices which encourage greater contemplation, deeper centeredness, and an integration of mind, body, and spirit.
Each semester the chaplaincy offers a series of studios to students, faculty, and staff who wish to learn or continue any of several practices, including yoga, t’ai chi, aikido, karate, Zen (Buddhist) meditation, mindfulness meditation, and transcendental meditation. Each of these studios meets weekly for ten weeks, and sufficient student enrollment allows our faculty instructors to offer a supplemental reading course for partial academic credit.
Additionally, The Mindfulness Project sponsors lectures, retreats, and other programs and events on an occasional basis.
