Recruitment

Spring 2018 Greek Life recruitment and membership intake will begin on Monday, February 5th, 2018. Students will be receiving information to their Trinity inboxes with information regarding registration starting in early Janaury.


Schedule

Sorority and Fraternity Recruitment​ will begin on Monday, February 5th, 2018 and the schedule is as follows. Please note that a more detailed schedule will be emailed prior to the start of recruitment to students who have registered.

  • Monday, February 5th, 2018 – Mandatory meeting for all potential new members (PNMs) – Vernon Social, 6:30 PM.  Night one of Informal Recruitment. Events will run from 7-10 PM.
  • Tuesday, February 6th, 2018 – Night two of Informal Recruitment. Events will run from 7-10 PM.
  • ​Wednesday, February 7th, 2018– Preference Night. Events will run from 7-10 PM.
  • Thursday, February 8th, 2018 – Bid Day


Requirements

To seek membership in a Greek organization, students must be at least sophomore status and meet the following criteria:

  • Have a GPA of a 3.0 or higher. We consider a student’s cumulative GPA or their GPA from the Fall 2017 semester. There will be no exceptions to the GPA requirement.
  • Students must be in good behavioral standing to pursue membership. Students who are on censure may not participate in sorority and fraternity recruitment.


Registration

Interested students must register by Monday, January 29th as grade checks needs to be completed prior to participation. Registration will open on Friday, January 5th, 2018. To register, please check your Trinity email for the registration link.


Recruitment Rules

All rules found in the student handbook are applicable to recruitment events. Further, this is an ALCOHOL FREE process. Any chapter found in violation will face severe disciplinary action that may include loss of membership recruitment privileges or suspension of chapter activities. Any PNM found in violation will lose their privilege to seek fraternity or sorority membership this year. Regardless of age, members may not consume alcohol during recruitment events and PNMs may not consume alcohol during recruitment events. All events are to remain substance free.​
