Located at 114 Crescent St. at Trinity College, the QRC offers an affirming safe space for the LGBTQI and ally community with a resource library
of sexual orientation and gender identity focused books, videos, magazines, informational brochures and guide books and provides social, meeting and conference space for campus and community organizations.
The Trinity College QRC is a center for LGBTQIA student services and campus initiatives. It was created to provided a safe space for all gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, questioning, intersex, and ally students, staff, and faculty.
Our mission is to help create a functional and useful campus center for LGBT life at Trinity. We hope to work toward greater LGBT diversity and acceptance on Trinity’s campus through educational programming, by providing opportunities for exposure and insight into LGBT life and culture, and by providing student organizing assistance on LGBT issues.
With this center, we hope to create a strong and cohesive identity of LGBT as part of the greater Trinity Community and ensure that all members of our campus feel like a welcome and essential part of the Trinity experience.
Hours of operation for 2011 -2012 academic year:
Tuesdays: 1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Wednesdays: 9 :00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Fridays: 9 :00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
At these times, the center is open to all members of the Trinity College student, staff, and faculty communities. During these hours, the center is staffed by the QRC Coordinator or a volunteer who can help utilize resources; provide information about LGBT issues on campus and in the community; provide tours; help organize events; and provide information about LGBT community volunteer efforts.
Appointments and reservations can be made for after-hours and weekend access or special events.
