Judicial Policies and Procedures: Overview

Trinity College seeks to provide an environment in which teaching, learning, research, and related activities are undertaken freely and responsibly. Given that we live in a diverse campus community, we recognize that our actions must be motivated not only by personal concerns but also by the concerns of the community and the welfare of the College. The policies, procedures and regulations of the College are designed to establish standards of conduct for our community where each member has the freedom to pursue academic and extra-curricular activities in the educational context of healthy, responsible, and respectful behavior.

Trinity students and student organizations are expected to abide by College regulations and state law. When behavior violates College policies, procedures, and/or regulations, one may expect the College to respond deliberately and appropriately. Consistent with the educational mission of the College, the disciplinary process seeks chiefly to educate students about responsible and appropriate behavior at Trinity and beyond.
