Recruiting Programs
Liberal Arts Recruiting Connection
What? LARC-Boston Recruiting Connection combines a full day of interviewing with a traditional job fair. At the job fair, students will have the chance to meet with employers, hand out resumes and learn about potential opportunities. Students are also encouraged to submit their resumes in advance to be interviewed for specific jobs. Last year, over 25 employers participated in the interview portion of the day and more than 50 employers attended the job fair.
When? Friday, November 7, 2008
Where? Marriot Tremont Hotel in Boston
How do I apply for interviews? You should attend a LARC-Boston information session to find out what employers will be attending the event and how you can apply for interviews. Please check Trinity Recruiting for the dates of information sessions. Then, log into LARC’s website and read the employer job descriptions. If you are interested in interviewing with an employer, you must apply for the position(s) by submitting a cover letter and resume by October 14, 2008. All applications must be submitted via the LARC website. Application materials need to be uploaded in the Resumes and Documents section of the web site. After uploading the necessary documents, apply for positions in which you're interested. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. For step-by-step directions to using the LARC website, please email career-services@trincoll.edu.
* Please remember that if you are applying for a position, it is assumed you will accept an interview offer and travel to Boston for the interview. Do not apply for any positions where this is not the case. *
How do I know if I was selected for an interview? Soon after applying, you will receive an e-mail notification of the interview(s) for which you have been selected. If you do not receive an e-mail then you were not selected for an interview.
How do I schedule an interview? After receiving your email notification, you are able to sign up for a specific interview time. To choose an interview slot, you must again log into LARC’s website. It is your responsibility to log into the LARC website and select an interview slot. If you fail to do so, your interview time will be assigned to an alternate and you will lose the opportunity to interview with the employer.
Can I attend the Job Fair but not the Interview Day? Absolutely. To see what employers will be attending the job fair, visit LARC’s website. While we strongly encourage students to apply for positions in which they’re interested, the job fair is an ideal opportunity to meet a number of top employers all in one location!
