Interest Inventory Tests

An Interest Inventory Can:

·  Help you examine in a fresh way what you enjoy

·  Provide new constructs that can expand your possibilities

·  Reinforce what you know is important to you

·  Enable you to see new patterns and connections

·  Assist you in determining the type of experience or skills you   want to gain from an internship, summer job, graduate school or full-time job

·  Offer insights useful in narrowing your focus to activities which most reflect your passions

An Interest Inventory is Not:

·  A test with right or wrong responses

·  An exercise that will match you with your ideal career

·  A substitute for talking with people about careers

·  Exempt from a skewed result if responses are intentionally directed toward a specific outcome

Career Services offers Trinity students and graduates two interest inventories:

Campbell Interest and Skill Survey (Hard copy only)

The results of this inventory show the skills that you most enjoy using and provide an indication of your confidence level. Your pattern of interests is compared to those of people working in specific occupations.

Complete this paper and pencil inventory then return it to Career Services. We will contact you when the results available to schedule a meeting with an advisor.
