Available Student Position Title: Lifeguard

Brief Description of Position/Duties:

Sign-up meeting on SUNDAY, SEPT. 13TH AT 1:00PM in the Ferris Athletic Center lobby.  In order to sign up for hours, you must have the following certification cards with you, and they must not expire before 12/14/09. (Lifeguard Training and First Aid, CPR / AED for the Professional Rescuer) You must be present to sign up for hours. Signing up via email or phone will not be accepted. Even though all students are encouraged to apply, priority will be given to students who are on Work Study.

Brief Description of Position/Duties: 

·         Videotape campus events and lectures

·         Set up and operation of projection equipment for computer images and video playback

·         Troubleshoot issues with classroom projection equipment; assist helpdesk in this regard

·         Duplication of and conversion between DVD, VHS, MiniDV media and assorted Quicktime codecs

·         Edit video using IMovie and Final Cut Express; assist students and faculty in editing their video projects

·         Be able to lift 50 lbs.

·         Dependably work regularly scheduled daytime shift; be available for occasional nighttime and weekend events

·         Have good attitude, detail oriented and be willing to learn

Available Student Position Title: Office Assistant              

Brief Description of Position/Duties:  

We are searching for a student who is proficient in Microsoft Office applications, highly motivated and who has prior office experience. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential.  General office and clerical tasks  are a regular part of the job. Students will also assist staff with projects and events. The student should have strong customer service skills, be good with people, and be flexible.  Ideally, the candidate will have studied abroad, have an interest in studying abroad, or be studying abroad at Trinity as an international student.

Available Student Position Title: First-Year Coordinator: Summer positions (hiring in April)

Brief Description of Position/Duties:

This student helps with the enrollment of entering first-year students.  He/She will be a point of contact in the office for entering students and their parents, and will handle telephone and e-mail inquiries, assist with course selection, enroll students in first-year seminars and non-seminar courses, and work closely with the First-Year Program Office and the Office of Residential Life.  Applicants should be students who entered Trinity as a first-year student.  This is a full time position, beginning the last week of May and continuing through First-Year Orientation in August.

Available Student Position Title: Help Desk Consultant
Brief Description of Position/Duties:
A Help Desk Consultant is expected to work a minimum of 3 shifts a week. Assisting clients with their computer related problems, by trying willingly to resolve the problem by explaining various solutions to the clients; via phone, email or in person. Familiar with the software supported by the Computing Center; such as applications and available resources to be able to troubleshoot a problem. Communication skills, self motivation and a good disposition are essential assets.
