Shaun R. Harper founded the Center for the Study of Race and Equity in Education in 2011. He is author of over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles and other academic publications. Journals in which his studies are published include Review of Research in Education, Teachers College Record, Harvard Educational Review, Journal of Higher Education, Review of Higher Education, and Journal of College Student Development. Ajay Nair is the senior vice president and dean of campus life at Emory University. He is an accomplished scholar and student affairs leader whose interests include immigration, race, and ethnicity. As Emory’s chief student advocate for nearly 13,000 undergraduate and graduate students, Nair shoulders a broad portfolio of responsibilities ranging from intercollegiate athletics and the Greek experience to student health services and residence life.
