The Computing Center sponsors regular meetings for all members of the Trinity community who have an interest in particular technologies, applications and platforms. Our goal is to bring people together to share what they know and how they have used a specific product. This could include people with an interest in a particular technology application, who may have differing levels or areas of expertise in that product, or they may know very little but are interested in finding out how to use it.
Together, we can create a network – or circle – for ongoing support. It is the Center's hope that a variety of people will find this approach interesting, non-threatening, non-time consuming and useful. The Computing Center staff will serve as facilitators to get the groups together initially, and to get some dialogue going, however the members of the group themselves will make it their own circle and choose to meet more frequently, create sub-groups with specific areas of interest, or just network via phone, e-mail, etc.
Current topics are Access, Excel, GIS and Macintosh.
