All campus GIS data is located on the server zep at \\zep\data\GIS.
The data is organized by spatial location and efforts have focused on organizing data for the state of Connecticut. The data files have come from numerous sources including the DEP, local government agencies, non profit groups such as CPEC and others. The data that is provided with the ArcGIS software from ESRI is also included on this site. This data is at the global and national scale and is stored in the same format and structure that ESRI provides.

The general organization structure for the GIS data follows a pattern from large to small geographic areas. For example, the folders for Connecticut include: All_Statewide, Counties, MetroStatAreas, and Municipalities. If you would like data for an area smaller than what is currently provided, Academic Computing can help reduce the files to only the data you need (see the Support link on the left for more information). As more projects are developed, they will be cataloged on this site so faculty will not have to duplicate efforts.
