Slide Show: Trinity/La MaMa Program Celebrates 30 Years with Student Showcase

Students from Trinity and other Colleges Perform, Concluding Semester of Studying in New York City

Hartford, Connecticut, December 27, 2016 – Students who spent the fall semester studying at the Trinity/La MaMa Performing Arts Program in New York City presented a showcase of original works called “Yes, it’s Personal – A Celebration of Trinity/La MaMa’s 30th Year” at the Performance Lab at Trinity Commons on December 13, 2016. The goal of the showcase was to explore “how in a world of societal pressures and stereotypes, the voices of truth become increasingly muted.”

“Yes, it’s Personal” was created and performed by students from Trinity College, Bates College, Oberlin College, Grinnell College, and Wake Forest University. The Trinity/La MaMa Performing Arts Semester in New York City immerses students in the New York theater, dance, and performance communities for studies with the goal of fostering artistic, academic, and personal growth. The fall semester culminates with showcase performances of student work at La MaMa Experimental Theater Club in New York City and at Trinity College.
