Trinity Celebrates Bantams Whose Class Years End in 2s or 7s

Hartford, Connecticut, June 8, 2017 – Trinity College will hold Reunion Weekend 2017 from June 8 to 11, celebrating alumni whose class years end in 2s or 7s. The annual event is an opportunity for alumni, with their families and friends, to come back to campus to reconnect with each other and the College. More than 75 events and activities are planned for the weekend, including a New England-style clambake, a 5K Fun Run, and alumni- and faculty-led presentations.

New Reunion events this year include a Photo Safari and Campus Stroll at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, where Cara Daly ’18 will guide alumni on a tour of some of the most popular and iconic places on campus. A new Flag Football Challenge is set to take place from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, led by team captains Lily Pepper Sommer ’12, Joe Clark ’07, John Rossi ’02, and Rob Cibotti ’97. Alumni are encouraged to cheer on the teams, featuring members of the ’97, ’02, ’07, and ’12 classes playing for fun out on the newly renovated Jessee/Miller field.

Trinity is expecting approximately 1,000 Reunion attendees, according to Director of Alumni Relations Steve Donovan, who noted the strong support of Reunion volunteers who helped to plan and organize this year’s events.
