Hartford, Conn. (August 8, 2014) -- The 2014 Trinity Summer Music Series came to a close Wednesday evening, marking the season finale of both the 40th Annual Chamber Music Series and 65th Annual Carillon Series at Trinity College. The annual music tradition at Trinity has been a steady summertime favorite for Hartford residents and Trinity community members throughout the years.
"The 2014 Summer Music Series was another great gift to the Hartford area community,” said Ellen Dickinson, College Carillonneur. “We had a couple of rainy nights at the beginning of the summer, but we ended with gorgeous Wednesday nights, and audiences of three-hundred.”
Attendance figures averaged over 150 early in the summer, and nearly doubled by the conclusion of the 2014 Series.

“The Trinity College Summer Chamber Music Series means a lot to many people. Every week people tell me how important is to them," said Robert Edward Smith, Composer-in-Residence at Trinity College, and organizer of the Trinity Chamber Music Series. "These free recitals are one of Trinity's great gifts to the community.”
The finale featured performances by Carlo van Ulft on carillon, Julia Cash on violin, and John Kramer on piano.
