Trinity College Volleyball Team to Host St. Joseph on Dig Pink Night October 4

Players Support Fundraising Initiative for Breast Cancer Awareness

Hartford, Connecticut, October 4, 2016 – The Trinity College volleyball team will host a Dig Pink fundraising initiative for breast cancer awareness at its October 4 matchup against the University of St. Joseph.  The Bantams will don pink uniforms to show their support and fans are asked to wear pink to the game and "pink out" the gym.

The Bantams, coached by Jen Bowman, raised $1,400 toward the cause in last season's fundraiser and hope for another great showing this year.

The Side-Out Foundation directly funds "game-changing" breast cancer research and support. The foundation raises millions that fund their own cutting-edge clinical trials at renowned medical institutions. This unique approach is successfully extending the lives of people with Stage 4 breast cancer. A portion of the money raised through Side-Out also goes to high-quality support services for cancer patients and their families.

The game begins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, in the Oosting Gymnasium at Trinity's Ferris Athletic Center.
