Trinity Hosts Hartford Public Schools’ STEM Expo and Science Fair

Hundreds Present Their Work in the Sciences at Koeppel Community Sports Center
Hartford, CT, June 16, 2015 – On May 19, for the third year, Trinity College played host to the Hartford Public Schools’ Annual Citywide S.T.E.M. [Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math] Expo/Science Fair. This event, made possible through a partnership between SINA and Hartford Public Schools, welcomed students from throughout the city to the Koeppel Community Sports Center where they presented their research, apps, and inventions. Above, University High School of Science and Engineering student Gabriel Mesa presents his project, “A Self-Sustaining Electrical Shoe Insert for Treatment of Diabetic Neuropathy,” to one of the judges. Mesa won first place in the grade 9-12 life science category.
