‘Tour d’Admission’ Group Visits Trinity During Bike Tour of College Campuses

Guidance Counselors Take Annual Summer Cycling Tour in Different Parts of the Country

Hartford, Connecticut, August 2, 2016 – Trinity College recently hosted a visit from Tour d’Admission, a group of guidance counselors from public and private schools and private consulting firms who combine an annual week-long summer bicycling tour in different parts of the country with visits to college campuses. The group was at Trinity from July 17 to 18 and stayed overnight in Vernon Place.

Tour d'Admission at Trinity College, Summer 2016During their stop in Hartford on the 2016 Tour d’Admission, Trinity welcomed (L-R): Rich Johnson, guidance counselor at Ridgefield High School in Connecticut; Tim Clark, independent counselor with McMillan Education in Boston; Lauren Cunniffe, director of college counseling at Stoneleigh-Burnham School in Greenfield, Massachusetts; Sarah McDougal, chair of the department of guidance at Fenton High School in Bensenville, Illinois; Jane Kurz Klemmer, owner of the New York-based Klemmer Educational Consulting; Paul Mackenzie, guidance counselor at the Berkshire School, a day and boarding school in Sheffield, Massachusetts; and Bill Dingledine, independent counselor of Educational Directions in Greenville, South Carolina.

This year’s cycling tour of college campuses in New England took Tour d’Admission to Trinity, Wesleyan University, Quinnipiac University, Yale University, Connecticut College, the University of Connecticut, Providence College, Brown University, University of Rhode Island, and Rhode Island School of Design.
