Koeppel Community Sports Center Hosting 22nd Annual Tabor House Tag Sale and Auction

Giant Tag Sale Fundraiser on Trinity College Campus Open to the Public July 28-30

​Hartford, Connecticut, July 26, 2016 – Trinity College’s Koeppel Community Sports Center will host the 22nd Annual Tabor House Tag Sale and Auction, open to the public July 28-30. This is a new location for the giant tag sale, auction, and bake sale fundraiser to benefit Tabor House residences established by the Sisters of St. Joseph for formerly homeless men living with HIV/AIDS.

Tabor House Tag Sale and AuctionThe proceeds of $23,000 from last year’s event also benefited the immigrant and poor population of the inner city who need to outfit their residences with affordable items, while helping the environment.

Early shopping and the silent auction will open on Thursday, July 28, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with an admission of $10. The event includes refreshments. The auction includes special events, sports items, and donations from theaters and restaurants. The auction closes on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

The Giant Tag Sale and Bake Sale is open on Friday, July 29, from noon to 6 p.m., for a $1 admission.

The Final Sale Day on Saturday, July 30, from 8:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. offers free admission.

Donations may be dropped off from Monday to Wednesday, July 25 to 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Accepted items include antiques/jewelry, linens (clean), pots/pans/dinnerware/glasses, mirrors/ frames/art work, coffeemakers/electric kitchen items, hobby/craft supplies, radios/CD players/lamps, CDs/tapes/videos/ LP records, luggage/handbags, Christmas/holiday/seasonal items, toys, games, dolls, stuffed animals, gardening items, hand and power tools. Volunteers will help accept donated items, set up the event, and clean up afterwards.

Koeppel Community Sports Center at Trinity College is located at 175 New Britain Ave. in Hartford, near the corner of Broad Street.
