Computer Science Department to Host Talk by Nancy Davis ’79, CIO of United Technologies

Trinity College Trustee Will Speak About Cybersecurity on December 6

WHAT: A lecture by United Technologies Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer Nancy Davis ’79 titled “Cybersecurity Risks, Trends and Strategies.” The lecture is free and open to the public.

The senior vice president and chief information officer of United Technologies since 2010, Nancy Davis graduated from Trinity College in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in engineering and also holds a master of science degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She is responsible for providing leadership to UTC’s information technology function, including global IT strategies, systems, infrastructure, and supplier management. Davis spent her early career at UTC’s Pratt & Whitney division, eventually working as Director of Engineering and Manufacturing Systems, Infrastructure, Architecture & Security Operations and global Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation. She later served as vice president and chief information officer at Pratt & Whitney and vice president and chief information officer at Sikorsky.

A deeply engaged Trinity alumna and member of Trinity’s Board of Trustees, Davis also shared her expertise with students on campus in the fall of 2014 when she delivered a lecture as part of the “Science for the Greater Good” series. Davis has received the YWCA Women Achievers Award, is a member of the Executive Board Committee for the Connecticut Business & Industry Association, and is on the Corporate Advisory Board for UConn’s master’s program in business analytics and project management.
