Background: Founded in 1982 under the patronage of the Trinity College Chapel, CitySingers of Hartford was started by a few friends who enjoyed singing together. Since then, the ensemble has established a musical presence in Central Connecticut of inspiring programs that often combine music with other performing arts or community organizations to create a unique musical experience and celebrate our common heritage.

The homecoming theme of this event presents an ideal opportunity for organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Journey Home, and Hands on Hartford to educate and share information about their work. Displays and conversation with representatives from these organizations – each of which uses different approaches and strategies – will also take place at the event.
