Alumni Return to Campus for 2014 Homecoming Festivities

Weekend Includes Televised Football Matchup with Undefeated Amherst
Hartford, CT, October 30, 2014 – Less than a week after Trinity alumni joined the thousands celebrating the inauguration of new President Joanne Berger-Sweeney, hundreds are expected back on campus for this year’s Homecoming, featuring the Bantams’ football game against the undefeated Amherst Lord Jeffs at Jessee/Miller Field, which will be televised live on CPTV. This year marks the first Trinity Homecoming for President Berger-Sweeney, who will have an hour-long conversation with alumni on the morning of Saturday, November 1, at Vernon Social. Highlights of the weekend include:
  • Hour with the President
  • Pre-game report with Head Football Coach Jeff Devanney ’93
  • Student a cappella concert
  • Football game vs. Amherst College with Halftime Presentation of Women’s Rowing NCAA Championship Rings
  • Performance by jazz pianist Michael Carabello
  • Field Hockey NESCAC playoff game vs. Williams College
  • Volleyball game vs. Bates College
  • 50th Reunion Pass the Baton Reception and Dinner
  • Celebration of the life of Jack Chatfield ’64, professor of history emeritus
