Lanna Hagge, Director
Lanna leads the department in providing Trinity students with Career Services that reflect the college’s commitment to excellence in the liberal arts and provide avenues for students to achieve their educational, social, and professional goals. Her experience includes banking, insurance, university teaching, psychometrics, social work, and college fund raising, as well as a few summers of factory work and driving a Mr. Softee truck. When not on campus, Lanna maybe found throwing a frisbee to her Type A Border Collie, rowing, hiking, or waiting for a nor’easter so she can use her expedition level snow shoes.
Peter Bennett '81: Senior Associate Director of Employer Relations Bennett brings 25 years of experience to Trinity, having worked in the health-care, financial services, telecommunications, and nonprofit sectors. His most recent job was with Aetna, where he was marketing segmentation head for its small- and medium-sized business division. Prior to joining Aetna, Bennett, a Kensington resident, was the marketing and sales leader for seven years at one of Connecticut’s largest credit unions.
He began his career with Southern New England Telephone, which is now AT&T, serving in a variety of financial, marketing, and strategic planning roles during his 15 years there. He has a BA in psychology from Trinity and an MBA from Northeastern University.
Megan Myers Hambrick ’01: Assistant Director of Alumni Career Services and Program Development
Megan returned to Trinity in October 2008 to fill a new position aimed at strengthening the relationship between Trinity Alumni/ae and Career Services. In addition to coordinating Alumni programs for current students, she is also available to alums of any experience level looking for assistance with their job search, networking leads, or applying to graduate programs or professional school. Megan’s undergraduate degree is in Psychology, and she also holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Smith College in Northampton, MA. After earning her degrees, Megan spent three years living in the DC-metro area, working for the Department of Health and Human Services in the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. Although they miss the cherry blossoms, Megan and her husband, Tom ’01, are excited to have returned to New England. They live in West Hartford with their cat (Cleo) and dog (Max) and enjoy heading to the mountains and lakes of VT and NH in their free time.
Linda Roy, Operations and Project Manager
Linda Roy is responsible for the oversight of the office assistants and student staff, and the coordination and marketing of events and job opportunities. She joined Career Services in August, 2004 as office administrator and was promoted to Operations & Project Manager shortly thereafter. Prior to her service to the college, Linda worked as a manager in insurance in the marketing/communication area. She holds a BS in finance from Central Connecticut State University. During off hours, Linda can be found in Wethersfield spending time with you son.
Kate Kollar, Receptionist & Office Assistant
Kate Kollar graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 2006. Currently she is working on finishing her M.A. in English at CCSU.
Rachel Sabbath, Career Specialist
Rachel Sabbath Gerrity graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Bates College with a degree in Political Science. Upon graduating from Bates, she accepted a fellowship from Boston University where she earned a Master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism while working as a Teaching Assistant and Academic Advisor. Rachel has held her position as a Career Specialist at Trinity for two years. Escaping the heat and slow-paced life of Macon, GA where she grew up, Rachel has entrenched herself in northern culture. Since 2005, she has worked with Northern Elite Collegiate Development Clinic to help prepare high school basketball players for the academic shift from high school to college. In her free time, Rachel watches hours of reality TV and has begun training in mixed martial arts. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, former Bates all-NESCAC basketball player Brian Gerrity.
Michael Wolter, Career Specialist
Michael joined Career Services in December of 2007. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Connecticut State University and is actively pursuing his Masters in Organizational Management at Eastern Connecticut State University. Prior to becoming a member of the Career Services team, Michael worked in Residence Life, retail management, and as A/V technician. Michael intensely enjoys his job and the impact it can have. Michael currently resides in New Britain, CT. |
