1. Focused/Other tabs – There are two inboxes, the "Other" inbox which contains your regular email and “Focused” which analyzes your behavior with email and suggests the messages that would be important to you and places them there.

2. Folder pane – Create\Navigate between your Folders. You have a FAVORITES section as well. Add folders that you use frequently from your folder listings by dragging and dropping.

3. The Reminder icon - (bell) Related to your appointments and tasks. Clicking on the icon reveals the reminder. You may dismiss, snooze, or dismiss all.

4. Selected View pane – This section reflects all the messages currently in your “Selected folder” (the folder currently highlighted).

5. Within the Selected View pane, the message being displayed in the Reading pane will be highlighted. Notice there are check marks and a blue bar on the left side of the message. The blue bar indicats an unread message. The check mark indicats that the message is being viewed. The RED X allows you to Delete the message and the FLAG marks the message for follow up. You may right-click on any message in this view to reveal the context menu which allows you to delete, move the message to another folder, or set a flag for follow up.

6. Navigation bar – This is where you navigate between mail and the other features of OWA. MAIL is for your mail, CALENDAR is the calendar or calendars you have access to view, PEOPLE allows you to create groups for sending messages, TASKS shows you your tasks.

7. To Sign Out of OWA click on your name.   The GEAR icon (to the right of your name) shows a drop-down menu for multiple functions. You may Refresh your view, which allows you to check for new mail messages. Set Automatic Replies is your Out Of Office setting location. The Display Settings allow you to modify the default view of the OWA layout. Change Theme allows you to change the background theme of your OWA window within the browser. Options takes you to a new window which allows you to organize email, create groups, and BLOCK or ALLOW messages. Please do NOT Change Password on this screen. Use the change password website instead at http://password.trincoll.edu so all of your Trinity credentails are updated at the same time (not just email). The Right pointing arrow in the circle exch2013arrow1.jpgtakes you back to the OWA view. Regardless of the screen you are on, this symbol it will always take you back, similar to your Back Button on your browser.

8. Reading pane to view the content of the selected message (in this case a Trinity Today email). Above the reading pane, the ellipsis (3-dots) is what you select to PRINT your message.exch2013dots.png

9. Quick Action buttons - These buttons allow you to perform quick actions on the selected email, such as delete or archive. Clicking "New" will create a new email message.

10. Filter - Allows for sorting of messages by unread, or by date, as well as other viewing options.

At any time please contact the Helpdesk if you have issues.
