Information Technology Services provides training opportunities to support the academic needs of Trinity students, staff and faculty. These include pre-scheduled, instructor-led training seminars and on-demand training for Trinity-specific tools and services. The college also has a license for lynda.com.
In addition to our regularly scheduled workshops, we offer customized departmental or group training sessions as well. This training is designed to meet the needs of groups that would like specialized instruction on one or more topics. Please contact your Instructional Technologist, Enterprise Applications group or the Help Desk to plan your session.
- One-on-one training for faculty and TAs, class training, departments or groups, topic specific, or any other format that would support your teaching and research is also available through your Instructional Technologist. Examples of training topics include:
- Multimedia authoring
- Web page creation
- Classroom AV Technology
- Media Technology Services can provide training on video editing and multimedia projects. MTS recommends using iMovie for basic video productions and can work with faculty or a class on how to edit if requested in advance. Some training is available in Final Cut Express. A “how to” tutorial can be coordinated on video camera pointers and usage for small groups or a class.
- Enterprise Applications is available to educate staff about business processes, applications capabilities, data, and reporting tools, with a focus on accuracy, flexibility, extensibility, and ease of use.
