*This notice is sent on the day the item is overdue, and every seven days thereafter through the 42nd day. Items more than 45 days overdue are declared Lost and a bill for replacement is issued. If the item is not paid within 14 days it is sent to the Student Account Office for settlement. The accumulation of $100.00 or more in fines/fees will result in the suspension of all library privileges until settled.
**Fine obligations for Wesleyan or Connecticut College library materials are handled independently by those libraries.
Appeals
Once an overdue notice has been issued, a borrower has 14 days to make an appeal if they feel that there it is a mistake. The Library will search for any item claimed returned. If the item is found, the borrower’s record will be cleared. But the Library reserves the right to bill the user for items not found.
More than 3 “claims returned” items in one semester will result in a block to further borrowing
