The Library's collections are built to support the College's mission. Most items in our general collections can be checked out of the building by students and faculty to assist in their research projects. See our Borrowing Policies for details.
If we do not have something you need, we can often try to borrow it from another library through a service called interlibrary loan (or ILL). The tool we use to process these locally is ILLiad.
If a book or video is being used in a class, a faculty member can request that it be temporarily moved for the semester to our Course Reserves collection at the Level A circulation desk. These items have a much shorter loan period (2 or 3 hours) to maximize availability to the most students.
Questions around any of these policies can be referred to any of the Access Services staff at the Library Services Desk.
