Timothy J. Walsh '85 Addresses 2007 Scholars Reception
Scholarship donors often receive letters from the students who benefit from their generosity. And the college regularly shares news of student achievements, including honors and academic prizes. But perhaps no event offers donors a better chance to see the difference their gifts make than the annual Scholars Reception. This year, donors and students met at the Washington Room in Mather Hall. Timothy J. Walsh '85, a member of the College's Board of Fellows, addressed the informal gathering. Walsh was introduced by Timothy J. Walsh '85 and Mary Casner Walsh Scholar Jeffrey Scalia '09. During the evening scholars had the chance to say thank you while donors enjoyed the opportunity to learn first-hand about the aspirations of these exceptional students.
