Gifts in Honor and in Memory

A gift to Trinity College is a beautiful way to celebrate a faculty member, alumnus/a, parent, student, or friend. In fiscal year 2008-2009, gifts in honor or in memory of members of the Trinity Community totaled more than half a million dollars.

Gifts to Trinity enabled the College to construct and dedicate a new patio and meditation garden adjacent to the English Department building in memory of Fred Pfeil, a beloved professor who succumbed to cancer in November 2005 after a long and courageous battle. The outdoor area for meditation and reflection was named Fred Pfeil's Living Room “so that every person may have a seat.”
