Gifts-in-Kind

From the professor who donates a copy of her latest book to the Raether Library and Information Technology Center, to the artist or collector who shares work inspired by Trinity’s mission, gifts-in-kind often represent the passions of their donors. These alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends each made unique contributions that enhance the quality of intellectual and community life at Trinity.

A lifelong lover and collector of books, John W. Pye ’70 is a rare book dealer and trustee of the Watkinson Library. Among his many in-kind gifts to the Watkinson is a collection of more than 1,300 volumes produced by 19th-century Boston publishers Roberts Brothers. The Pye Roberts Brothers Collection is a tremendous new resource of national importance, supporting research and scholarship on 19th-century American literature and publishing.
