Virginia Sanchez '77, Vernon Hills, IL
President, Alumni Trustee   

Penny is a Vice President with APAC Customer Service, Inc, a leading provider of customer care services and solutions for market leaders with a focus in the healthcare industry.  She previously held key management roles with Xerox Corporation for over 20 years. In the past, Penny has served Trinity as a volunteer in a number of capacities including the NAA for five years and as an admissions and area club leader.

L. Peter Lawrence '71, P'04, Darien, CT
Executive Vice President 

Peter is co-founder and managing partner of FLAG Capital Management, a fund-of-funds started in 1994 to invest in venture capital, private equity and real assets.  He was a psychology major at Trinity and received his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1976.  His son, John, graduated from Trinity in 2004.  Peter is in his second term on the NAA while also serving as a class agent and reunion gift committee member.  His past involvement includes two terms on the Board of Fellows.  In addition to serving as Executive Vice President, he chairs the Awards committee.”

Uzma A. Akhand '98, New York, NY

Uzma is a doctoral student in English Education at Teachers College, Columbia University and teaches graduate school there as well. She also works as an educational consultant/ staff developer with high schools that are struggling in the Bronx and Harlem. She recently started a non-profit called G.R.A.M., which strives to improve educational systems, economic resources, and general distribution of empowerment, in developing countries through fundraising and awareness initiatives. Uzma joined the NAA in June 2007.

Hilary Burrall '03, North Haven, CT             

Hilary is Director of Alumni Affairs and Parents Program at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, CT.  She has been an Admissions volunteer and has attended Area Club programs.  She joined the NAA in 2005 and currently chairs the Life Stages committee.

John P. Clifford '76, P '07 , Avon, CT

John is a founding partner and trial attorney with Gersten Clifford & Rome LLP in Hartford.  John has been a Trinity career advisor, admissions volunteer, class agent, phonathon caller and is past president of the Trinity Club of Hartford which in 2000 honored him as Person of the Year.  John's daughter Kate graduated from Trinity in May '07.  John joined the NAA in June 2007.

David R. Fontaine '86, Washington, DC

David, who earned his law degree from Yale Law School, joined Rueusch International, Inc. in 2005 where he currently serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer. David has served Trinity as a class officer and reunion volunteer.  He joined the NAA in June 2007.

Karen C. Go '98, Brooklyn, NY

Karen has worked in the private investment industry at both Perry Capital and Tiger Global Management supporting in research and investor relations.  She has served as a Trinity class agent for three years, volunteered for Trinity admissions, and organized events in conjunction with career services in both Boston and New York. She joined the NAA in June 2007.

Trude J. Goodman '03, Dallas, TX

Trude recently moved from Houston, Texas, where she was a middle school English teacher and Coordinator of Student Life at The Emery/Weiner School, to New York where she is attending the Klingenstein Private School Leadership Program at Teachers College, Columbia University.  Trude joined the NAA in June 2007.

John S. Hamblett '84, Wayne, PA

John is a Principle and Client Service Representative at Cooke & Bieler Investment Council in Philadelphia. The son of a Trinity alumnus (Ken ’53) and brother of another (Marion H. Heubner ’87), John has served as an Admissions volunteer, member of the Reunion Gift Committee, and is the President of the Trinity Club of Philadelphia.  John, who is chair of the NAA nominating committee, is completing his second term in 2008.

Krista L. R. Hardie '01, Hartford, CT

Krista, who holds an MS in Engineering from the University of Hartford College of Engineering and an MBA from the University of Hartford Barney School of Business, works at UTC/Hamilton Sundstrand as a Senior Product and Process Quality Analyst in addition to many volunteer boards and activities in Hartford. She is Vice President of Student Support for the Trinity Black Alumni Organization and joined the NAA in June 2007.

Lina Estrada McKinney '98, Rocky Hill, CT

Lina is an associate at Shipman & Goodwin LLP where she specializes in mergers and acquisitions and commercial financing.  She graduated with a JD from Boston University School of Law ’03 and was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 2003.  Lina joined the NAA in 2006 and is Secretary for the Executive Committee in addition to working on plans to create a Latino alumni group.

H. Conrad Meyer III '77, Bronxville, NY

Conrad is a private investor who was most recently Managing Director at Gleacher Partners in New York City, an M&A firm that operates in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Conrad joined Gleacher in 1992, after nine years at Morgan Stanley.  In 1977, Conrad began his career as one of the founding members of Lehman Brother’s M&A Group.  Conrad received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Prior to re-joining the NAA Executive Committee in 2007, Conrad served on the NAA as Chair of the Trinity Fund. He also has served on the Board of Fellows, and has been an active Admissions volunteer.  Conrad’s term ends in 2008. 

Jocelyn Jones Pickford '99, Arlington, VA

In August 2006, Jocelyn Pickford was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve a one-year appointment as a White House Fellow. In that capacity, she served as Special Assistant to the Commissioner of Internal Revenue. Prior to her Fellowship, Jocelyn served as a secondary English teacher in Fairfax County, VA. She now holds a position as Special Assistant in the office of the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Education, where she works on special projects related to teacher quality and other issues. Jocelyn’s involvement with Trinity includes six years as a Board Member of the Trinity Club of Washington, including holding the office of Vice President from 2006 to the present. She has served as an Alumni Interviewer for prospective students since her graduation in 1999. She and her husband, John Pickford ’97, are avid supporters of Trinity Rowing and of the Trinity English Department.  She joined the NAA in June 2007.

Descatur M. Potier '03, Hyde Park, MA  

Descatur holds a Master of Arts in education from Tufts University and joined the faculty at St. Johns Preparatory School in fall 2007. He is the founder and director of a non-profit called: The Potier Foundation, Inc., whose mission is to aide first generation and low income, males of color go onto post-secondary education. After years of volunteering for Trinity, he joined the NAA in June 2007.

Pamela Richmond '93, Hartford, CT

Pamela Richmond has held several positions of increasing responsibility and leadership within United Technologies Corporation including roles in engineering design, strategic planning/business development, and manufacturing operations, to name a few.  She is currently a Logistics Support Military Engines Model Manager at Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford where she serves customers such as the United States Air Force and other international defense organizations.  She serves on the boards of Trinity’s National Alumni Association, The Urban League of Greater Hartford, as well as the Hartford Board of Education.  Pam joined the NAA in 2006.

   
Eric Rosow '86, Avon, CT      

Eric Rosow is Chief Executive Officer and co-founder (along with Joe Adam, '86) of Premise Corporation, a software company serving the healthcare industry.  Eric was formerly the Director of Biomedical Engineering at Hartford Hospital and has over 18 years of biomedical engineering and executive healthcare management experience. He received his Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Hartford Graduate Center/Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.  Eric has been involved in Trinity's Career Services Program, the Trinity Engineering Advisory Committee (TEAC), Hillel, and Friends of Rowing. Eric holds several national rowing titles, a Pan American Games gold medal and took fourth place at the World Championships.  He also served as a member of the U.S. Olympic Committee's Sports Equipment and Technology Committee.  Rosow has coached rowing at Trinity College, volunteered for Simsbury High School and most recently, was a founding member of Avon High School's Rowing Program. Eric joined the NAA in June 2007.


David M. Sample '71, P'06, '09, Concord, MA

David is senior vice president of sales at Blackboard Inc. with more than 25 years of sales and management experience at a variety of enterprise software companies. Early in his career, David served for seven years as a high school teacher, coach, and dean of students at King School in Stamford, CT.  He is a trustee at Trinity Pawling School. David has volunteered as a member of the Board of Fellows (2001-2005); as a Long Walk Societies Volunteer; and on his Reunion Gift Committee (2006).  David joined the NAA in 2006 and currently chairs the Career Services committee.


Michelle Stone '95, West Hartford, CT      

Michelle is an internal medicine primary care physician in the Hartford Medical Group. She has been an admissions volunteer since graduating in 1995, and has attended Area Club programs in San Francisco and Hartford. Her husband Tom Aitken ’94 is also an alumnus. Michelle joined the NAA in June 2007.

Michael S. Gilman '76, P'05, Los Angeles, CA

Mike is a Managing Director, Institutional Equity Sales at Caris & Company in Los Angeles, with more than 20 years of institutional sales experience. Prior to his career in institutional sales, he was a Managing Consultant at Data Resources, Inc. (DRI), based in New York, and then Los Angeles.  Mike double majored in Economics and Psychology at Trinity, and was active in AIESEC (International Association of Students in Economics and Management) and WRTC-FM, as a sports broadcaster.  He also received his MBA in Finance at University of Chicago. Mike has headed Trinity's Los Angeles area club for many years, is Co-President of his class, and has co-chaired his last two Trinity reunions. His oldest daughter, Sara, graduated Trinity in '05.

William S. Jenkins '03, New York, NY

Bill currently works for StarMine, a research analytics firm and was chairman of the Young Alumni Committee of the Trinity Club of New York from 2003 until 2006, when he was elected as Co-President. He also serves on the advisory board of Friends of Trinity College Chapel.

Matthew J. Longcore '94, Norwalk, CT

Matthew Longcore graduated from Trinity with a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies in 1994. He also studied Anglo-American Relations and Modern British Politics at Oxford University in England.  As an undergraduate he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.  Matthew holds an M.A. in Education from Fairfield University and he is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Management from Harvard University with a concentration in Managing Nonprofit Organizations.  Matthew is the Assistant Director of Admissions at Norwalk Community College and the coordinator of the NCC L.E.A.P. Program, which is designed to help students transfer to highly competitive four-year colleges to complete a bachelor’s degree.  He also teaches a career development course as an adjunct faculty member.  Matthew has been a longtime volunteer for the Trinity admissions program and since 2004 he has served as the President of the Trinity Club of Fairfield County.  His stepfather, Alan H. Kramer, is a member of the class of 1968 and his brother, W. Andrew Longcore, is a member of the class of 2008. 


Alan K. Martin '78, Montclair, NJ
Black Alumni Organization

Alan, the president of the Black Alumni Organization, is a partner with GLN Associates, a real estate development firm, along with Gil Nelson ’66. He received an ed. in psychological counseling in 1990 and an MBA in 1991 from the University of Alabama.  As an alumnus, he has been a career advisor, event host, and active member of the Black Alumni Organization.
