HISTORY OF OUR MAKING
Dear Mates,
Rick Richardson and George Kroh have prevailed upon me to put together a collection of creations by the class of '60--- art, writing, sculpture, inventions, recordings, photos, DVDs, American Idol appearances or whatever you think is something you have created or achieved of interest since your college days.
The Class of 1959 had an impressive and popular showing of creativity at their reunion last year and, remembering the budding, pent–up talent that traveled the long walk in 1960, I anticipate that our exhibit will be a fun and well attended happening. Details are in short supply at this early date, but we will have more information as we go along.
We are calling this bold initiative "1960 -- 2010 RENAISSANCE" and plan to have a spirited display during our 50th Reunion Weekend June 11-13- 2010.
So, challenge yourselves to think about what you’ve been doing since graduation as a career, hobby or passionate pursuit. Some of us have been painting, writing, teaching etc. up a storm, or simply dabbling, but whatever you have been doing, professional or amateur, it will be fun and enlightening to share.
If you would like to be involved, have questions or suggestions let me know via e-mail at. billmarge@aol.com. Early in 2010, we will call for items and determine where and how we will collect, keep and present them at reunion..... If I don't hear from your or another classmate that recommends your creative offerings, you can be sure to hear from me or one of my "assistants".
Needless to say, I'm enthusiastic about this reunion initiative and look forward to hearing from and featuring our Class of 1960 Michelangelos, Leonardo DaVincis, Ansel Adams’ and Norman Mailers.
