Sub-Committees and Standing Committees

​SUB COMMITTEES

Area Clubs and Young Alumni

This committee works with the Alumni Relations Office to identify new club presidents and volunteers around the country and internationally, and to assist the office with ideas for new programming and events, including programs and opportunities that maximize the involvement of young alumni with the College.
 
Goals and Priorities for 2016-2017:
1.    Revamp Area Club leadership in Trinity’s most populous alumni areas while expanding our reach to growing regions and young alumni
2.    Develop a robust and diverse calendar of off-campus alumni events that leverage Trinity’s alumni, parents, faculty, athletic teams, and student organizations
 

Bantam Life

This committee works to engage alumni with the depth and breadth of campus life including all
intellectual, cultural, and artistic aspects of life outside the classroom and beyond athletics. The committee enhances opportunities for alumni engagement, generates new programming ideas and increases alumni awareness of campus life.
 
Goals and Priorities for 2016-2017:
1.    Develop a similarly robust and diverse calendar of on-campus programming geared towards engaging all members of the Trinity community: Alumni, faculty, staff, students (including prospective students), and their families
2.    Continue to develop ideas and best practices to further improve Homecoming, Commencement, and Reunion weekend experiences
 

Career Development

This committee works with the Career Development Office to find appropriate ways for alumni to provide support for career development undergraduate initiatives. This committee is a resource for Trinity students in terms of networking and professional contacts. 
 
Goals and Priorities for 2016-2017:
1.    Generate from within the alumni network increased job opportunities (full-time, part-time and internships) for undergraduates
2.    Operationalize a program to provide career assistance to alumni at all stages of their professional lives
 

Communications

This committee develops messaging and marketing opportunities for various alumni constituencies to keep them involved and connected with the College.  This is a joint effort with the Office of Communications and encompasses multiple channels of communication, including printed materials, web-based messaging, and social networking.
 
Goals and Priorities for 2016-2017:
1.    Promote awareness of the NAA, its mission, and the work of the Executive Committee
2.    Improve lines of communication between the College and all alumni constituencies
 

STANDING COMMITTEES

Awards

This standing committee works with the Alumni Relations Office to identify alumni candidates for leadership awards presented at Reunion annually, including the Eigenbrodt Trophy, the Alumni Achievement Award, and the Alumni Medals. Members are expected to build nominee lists, do research as needed, and determine the final award recipients.


Nominating and Member Development

This standing committee works with the Alumni Relations Office to identify alumni candidates for nomination to the NAA. Members are expected to help build nominee lists, do research as needed, and review information in order to make decisions.
