Mary Elizabeth A. Miller IDP’00, M’03

Beth Miller currently works as the development director at The Mark Twain House & Museum. She is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for all the contributed income. She successfully executed fundraising support for the largest special event in the organization’s history—Mark My Words: An Evening with David Baldacci, John Grisham, and Jodi Picoult—which garnered significant new corporate sponsorship, local and national, for the organization.

Prior to work at The Mark Twain House & Museum, she was the development director at the Hartford Youth Scholars Foundation, a start-up educational organization that helps urban Hartford Students access private schools across the state. Beth was responsible for establishing and launching the fundraising architecture for the organization.

Her fundraising career started at Trinity, where she also became a writing instructor. She was a key writer for the successful $1.5M extension grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation in support of the Learning Corridor in Hartford and was also a key writer for collateral material that initiated funding for the Koeppel Community Sports Center.
