Maximillian A. Le Merle ’16

Max Le Merle graduated in 2016 with a BSc. in Mathematics and a BSc. in Computer Science.  While at Trinity, Max served as Student Body President and President of the Trinity College Investment Club, which saw membership grow to over 200 students under his tenure.  Other activities included membership on the Boxing Club, involvement in the CFO search committee, membership on the budget committee, participation in the Trinity College CFA Challenge Team, and founding the Business & Market Analytics Society.

Max is a portfolio analyst at Oaktree Capital Management focusing on Distressed Debt and Real Estate strategies where he works under value investors Howard Marks and Bruce Karsh.  Prior to his current role, Max has worked in San Francisco for BlackRock Inc., in San Francisco for Apple Inc., and in Singapore for Google Inc.

Max currently lives in Los Angeles where he serves on the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council, as LA Chapter President of NextGen Summit, and as an active member of the LA chapter of the Young Presidents Organization | Next Generation Leaders.  Max also enjoys participation in philanthropic endeavors through his role as a captain of Oaktree's charitable initiative ("Our Communities Matter") and involvement with organizing “Row down the Rhine" event to raise money for Go Red For Women, a movement that seeks to reduce the risk of heart disease in women.  Max joined the National Alumni Association in 2016, and is excited at the opportunity to stay connected with his alma mater and to a college he loves dearly.
